UAH – News

In late January 2021, the UAH Office of Information Technology determined that two UAH email accounts had been compromised by phishing attempts.
A small number of affected emails contained personally identifiable information such as name, date of birth or social security number. However, no servers or directories were affected by this incident and no credit card or banking information was included. At this time, UAH has no evidence of any use or attempted use of the information.
Yesterday, February 17, 2021, UAH sent notices to 272 people whose data was potentially impacted and offered one year of free credit monitoring and identity theft detection services. A call center has been set up at 1-800-939-4170 to answer questions regarding this incident.
UAH is committed to providing a safe and secure experience for all users. Since this incident, the University has implemented additional security review procedures and taken preventative measures to protect the security of sensitive information stored on all systems and machines. UAH takes this incident seriously and is committed to doing everything in its power to prevent it from happening again.
