After five and a half years, I am ultimately delighted to announce the launch of our newsletter!

The War Zone Wire will be led by our Editor-in-Chief Brian O’Rourke, and to begin with we will publish it weekly, although like everything here at TWZ it will be experimental in nature. We will adapt and evolve it over time to make it as enjoyable as possible for our readers. The first issue will be out tomorrow, October 21, so be sure to register if you haven’t already!

So what should you expect? We’re looking to provide a good roundup of stories you may have missed throughout the week, not just from us, but also from some of our colleagues across various outlets. Oh, and there will be a nice splash of awesome images sprinkled on top. For those who join our newsletter community, we’ll also be introducing a new feature in the coming weeks to alert you when something major happens, like our unparalleled ongoing coverage on major crises or when we drop a huge exclusive feature. This feature will be used sparingly — it will never be abused. We will only alert you when we have absolutely critical information to share or proprietary information to alert you to. More information on this in the coming weeks.
