Email Marketing Manager – London

Key tasks
As an Email Marketing Manager, you will work on the planning, creation and delivery of Pan Macmillan’s consumer email marketing program. You will test copy and design to optimize output and increase subscriber engagement.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to help scale an already successful email marketing program and grow our subscriber list.
You will be proactive in identifying new email communication opportunities and produce engaging and intriguing content for the website aimed at an email audience.
Responsible for email marketing performance reporting, you will have a keen eye for interpreting data and analytics, creating concise and insightful reports.
With a solid understanding of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you will work with the Senior Email Marketing Manager and the rest of the Communications department to grow our email marketing database through a range of initiatives.
Key tasks:
- Planning, writing and formatting email marketing campaigns for a wide range of audiences
- Analyze data and report performance.
- Work with Senior Email Marketing Manager on data acquisition and lead generation.
- End-to-end data-driven competition process execution.
- Researching and creating content articles for the website that have an email audience in mind.
- Advise the communications team on data collection best practices and GDPR obligations
- Participate in larger communications department meetings to provide expert advice and guidance on email marketing.
The successful candidate will have
- Knowledge and experience of email marketing, including the use of email marketing platforms.
- A solid understanding of email marketing best practices and GDPR.
- Excellent consumer writing skills with attention to detail in editing and proofing.
- Strong design and formatting skills.
- Experience interpreting data and analysis and reporting on campaign effectiveness.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple email marketing lists independently.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- A passion for books and reading.
We would be delighted if you had…
- Experience with multiple ESPs.
- Experience with CMS platforms.
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
